Beginning January 1, 2026, the Regional Income Tax Agency (“RITA”) will begin collecting municipal income tax for the City of Germantown.

It is easy to file online with RITA.

RITA’s website provides an accurate, secure, and free service to file and pay your l income tax. The benefits of filing through RITA’s e-File system includes:

• Simple step-by-step entry of tax information
• Automated calculation of tax due or overpayment
• Immediate confirmation of completed filing upon submission
• Credit or debit card, or ACH electronic payments are accepted
• Ability to file early and delay ACH payment

Important Note: RITA uses unique User IDs for access to e-File. You will be required to set up a unique User ID and password. Please allow several days to create and activate your account. You will be unable to e-file your return and make payments until the activation is complete.

If you choose to file a paper return, make certain that you or your preparer are using the current tax form that can be obtained online at ritaohio.com or by calling 800-860-7482 and selecting option 4.
